Our story
Created to help shift the story
A tea company built not only around taste and ritual, but around compassion — where conservation is part of the product itself.
Tea with a deeper purpose
Behind every cup is an ecosystem, a livelihood, and a conflict invisible to the outside world.
Teas for Wildlife began with a question: how can everyday consumption create real protection for wildlife and the people living alongside it? In parts of India, expanding agriculture and shrinking corridors have forced wildlife and communities into fragile coexistence. Elephants walk through tea gardens; workers face danger simply by going to work.
We source real-ingredient teas, herbs and spices from small farmers across India — many working in landscapes where elephants, leopards and other wildlife still move freely. By partnering with responsibly managed gardens, we reinvest part of our profits into conservation, education and long-term community support.
The people behind it
Meet the founders
Ili Cohen
For Ili, the project began with a growing emotional awareness of the imbalance between humanity and nature. What started as personal reflection became action — rescuing animals, learning about conservation, and searching for ways to create impact beyond individual acts of care.
Ili believes lasting change begins with emotional connection. That belief continues to shape the spirit of the brand today: hopeful, empathetic, and deeply connected to the living world.
Amit
Amit's journey began inside tea fields, working as a field manager within wildlife conservation projects connected to elephant corridors and tea plantations. There he witnessed the tension between agriculture and wildlife, and the consequences of unmanaged conflict.
For Amit, tea has always been more than a beverage — it creates pause, conversation, and a more conscious way to reconnect with nature. His mission remains deeply personal: protect wildlife around tea-growing regions while creating exceptional teas.
